The TEA is performed in accordance with the Rebuild Michigan Energy Services “Technical Energy Analysis Guidelines.” This program is offered through the state of Michigan to schools, colleges/universities, public housing authorities and local government buildings to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs. Consumers Energy is a pre-qualified consultant, through the state of Michigan, to deliver the assessment.

It also includes the building envelope and equipment that consume energy. Equipment may include things such as compressed air, steam, heating, cooling, lighting, and office and process systems.
