More power to this generation. And more energy options for the next.
Today, much of the energy we use is dependent on fossil fuels. These include coal, oil, natural gas, gasoline and diesel fuels. However, these resources are in limited supply, and as a society, our energy needs are continually growing.
What can we do to meet those challenges in both the short term and long term? You're about to find out.
Choosing renewable energy? That's a powerful decision.
You'd be surprised at what a positive impact a single household or business can make when you decide to participate in the Green Generation program. But through this one simple decision, you're making the choice that is providing environmentally friendly power to this generation and the next. Renewable energy adds diversity to the overall energy mix supplied by Consumers Energy, and that helps us serve you even better.
Is it good for the environment? Naturally.
We all want to do what we can to protect our environment, but let's face it, sometimes our busy schedules keep us from doing our part. Green Generation is more than environmentally friendly, and it allows you to help our environment with little or no change to your current lifestyle. It's the power of our environment in action, because this is energy that's naturally replenished. It also helps to know that this power is produced in Michigan, providing economic benefits to our state.
Can we rely on it? green generation sm is a reliable energy solution for today and tomorrow.
Your participation in Green Generation will make a positive difference, and it will not change your electric service reliability. The renewable energy purchased for the program is combined with electricity from all other traditional energy sources and placed on the electric grid. Your support of Green Generation helps to increase the amount of renewable energy in the mix, helps make it cleaner, and will lessen our dependence on any single traditional energy source. Michigan families have trusted Consumers Energy for more than 115 years to deliver reliable energy, and your reliable electricity service will not change.
