With green generation ^sm, the power truly is in your hands. Not only can you support a green energy solution and enjoy the same level of comfort in your home, Whether for your home or business, you can participate at a level that is right for you.

Here's how it works. When you choose to join the green generation ^sm program, you'll pay your normal rate for electricity plus a small monthly premium to help offset the cost of purchasing renewable energy. You'll see this participation premium reflected as an additional line item on your regular monthly billing statement. Participation is required for a minimum of 12 months. Below are all the options, and how the charges are calculated for each.

GreenTeam
When you join the GreenTeam, you're making the ultimate commitment to help protect our environment and grow renewable energy sources for this generation and the next. As a member of the GreenTeam, you choose to match 100 percent of your monthly energy use for a premium of $0.01 per kilowatt-hour. Your participation cost is in addition to your normal monthly electric charges. Your participation cost will fluctuate based on the number of kilowatt-hours of energy you use in a given month.

To determine your approximate monthly cost for this option, you can locate your energy usage history on your monthly billing statement. To calculate an approximate average monthly cost, take your total kilowatt-hour history from your statement for the last 12 months, divide it by 12, and multiply that number by $0.01. This amount should represent your approximate average monthly cost for participating at this option.

GreenBlocks
This option allows you to determine your level of participation, so you can choose a set amount that is right for you and your budget. A single GreenBlock costs about the same as a cup of premium coffee, so it's easy to fit into your monthly expenses. You can purchase a single GreenBlock that represents 150 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy, for a small monthly premium of $1.50 per block. This monthly cost is in addition to your normal monthly electric charges. You can purchase as many individual GreenBlocks as you like, to represent either a portion or all of your monthly electricity usage.
