Review the list of contractors to find one in your area who can perform your project. Our participating contractors understand the Consumers Energy Savings Solutions program and have gone through an orientation process.
Download the incentive application and follow the steps listed on the cover page. This form includes the Pre-notification Application and Final Application. Only Consumers Energy business customers are eligible to receive incentives. For more details on how to apply for incentives, visit our FAQ page.
E-mail, mail or fax a completed copy of the Pre-notification Application, including the Incentive Application Checklist. These documents are included in the downloadable form from Step 3. Pre-notification Applications are strongly encouraged for all projects and are required for specific measures as well as all custom projects. Please include all required documentation including equipment model number and manufacturer specification sheets.
Your participating contractor will install the eligible project. Be sure to collect all required documentation for submittal.

After all the paperwork is complete, you will receive your rebate check in the mail in six to eight weeks.

Consider energy efficient motors for all new installations and replacements. Energy efficient motors are generally 2 to 8 percent more efficient than standard.
If you are using single speed motors to drive fans or pumps, you may be able to save energy through the use of a variable frequency drive or VFD.
A variable frequency drive motor continually adjusts according to the load and the power needed. This reduces energy use and wear on the motor.
