Lighting Rebates

LightingChange a light bulb today and you can save money every day. That’s the power of compact fluorescent light (CFLs) bulbs. CFLs use 75 percent less energy than standard bulbs and last up to 10 times longer. Switching to CFLs is an easy way to lower your energy use and your energy bills.

Consumers Energy wants to help you bring these savings home. We’re working with retailers across Michigan to offer you instant savings on CFL bulbs. Choose a CFL for every room in the house. You’ll save on the initial cost and the more CFLs you use, the more energy you’ll save. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, you’ll save about $30 per bulb over its lifetime. Consumers Energy even will help you find CFL recycling locations.

Plus here’s one more reason to switch. ENERGY STAR® found that if every home in the U.S. replaced just one light bulb with a CFL, it would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes.
