The Consumers Energy Business Solutions electric incentive program is fully subscribed and has been closed. Electric incentive applications received on or after June 2, 2010 will be placed on a waitlist and filled on a first-in basis subject to the availability of funds. Applications for natural gas savings incentives still are being accepted.

For additional information, please review our Frequently Asked Questions.

HVACCommercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment is generally designed to last between 12 to 15 years. But as systems age, performance is impacted, making every hour of operation more costly. Once the components of your HVAC have reached their rated lifetime, Consumers Energy has the incentives to make upgrading to an energy efficient system an easier investment.

HVAC can account for as much as 30 percent of a building’s annual energy usage. As a result, energy efficient models, along with continual maintenance, may significantly reduce your heating and cooling expenses. Calculate your return on investment using the worksheet on our application.

*Customer acknowledges and agrees that Customer cannot apply for, nor receive, incentives for the same product, equipment or service from more than one utility.

**Total incentive per ton equals the qualifying base incentive per ton plus the incentive per incremental efficiency increase.

Example:  100 ton air-cooled chiller at 1.02 kW/ton

               Base incentive is 100 tons x $30/ton = $3,000

               Additional incentive is 100 tons x (1.04 - 1.02)/0.01 x $2.00 = $400

               Total incentive is $3,400
