Heating & Cooling Rebates

Because of popular demand and a tremendous amount of customer activity in 2010, the Heating and Cooling program will no longer be accepting rebate applications for electric equipment that are postmarked after June 30, 2010. However, we will continue to accept applications for natural gas appliances and equipment. We understand that purchasing a heating and cooling system is a big investment. Therefore, we strongly recommend checking with your Heating and Cooling Contractor before making a commitment.

Heating CoolingWhat if replacing your heating and cooling equipment could save you $200 a year? According to ENERGY STAR® it can. With heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) accounting for 50 percent of your total energy use, switching to energy efficient components can lower your bill and still keep you comfortable all year.

Consumers Energy has valuable rebates on energy efficient air conditioners and furnaces that can make your purchase more affordable. If your system has reached its rated lifetime, usually between 10 and 15 years, use our rebates to upgrade to high-efficiency equipment. It will give you a striking difference in energy costs.

Here’s how to receive your rebate.
