Water Heating Rebates

Because of popular demand and a tremendous amount of customer activity in 2010, the Heating and Cooling program will no longer be accepting rebate applications for electric equipment that are postmarked after June 30, 2010. However, we will continue to accept applications for natural gas appliances and equipment. We understand that purchasing a heating and cooling system is a big investment. Therefore, we strongly recommend checking with your Water Heating Contractor before making a commitment.

Water HeatingWhen it comes to water heating, what’s new isn’t always what’s better. In fact, conventional water heaters have barely increased in efficiency in 20 years. But choose an ENERGY STAR® model when the time is right and you’ll use up to 50 percent less energy than with standard products.

Ready to make this important change? Consumers Energy is making the process easier by giving you substantial rebates on water heating products. Whether you install a new energy efficient water heater or insulating pipe wrap, our rebates reduce your purchase price. And with the savings you’ll get on your utility bills, it’s an investment that virtually pays for itself.

Here’s how to receive your rebate.

Look below to see all the water heating rebates from Consumers Energy. This program covers products purchased and installed on or after May 15, 2010.

A participating Trade Ally licensed contractor must submit the application for most of the qualifying products. The contractor must be identified on the application. Participating Trade Allies can be found on the list of Trade Ally Contractors.
