With Great Lakes Come Great Responsibility

Our freshwater lakes and streams make us unique in all of the 50 states. Our 56,000 square miles of land front four of the five Great Lakes. It’s a point of pride, and demands great care. So, we pay special attention to projects that benefit the health and sustainability of water. We’re just as concerned about the health and viability of land, air and wildlife.

We’re committed to sustaining Michigan’s natural resources. Our grants support removal of invasive species, conservation of natural resources and fostering of stewardship and environmental education. Some of our more recent grant recipients include Saginaw Bay Watershed Initiative, Legacy Land Conservancy’s Upper Grand River Protection Partnership, and the Blandford Nature Center.
