Choose a supplier and contact them to begin service.
You can switch from your current provider to another natural gas provider once during each 12-month period (from April to March) without being charged a fee. After that, if you choose another provider, you’ll be charged a $10 fee each time you switch.
PLEASE NOTE: Consumers Energy is not associated or affiliated with Alternative Gas Suppliers, and we do not recommend or endorse any of their products. If you purchase your gas supply from an alternative gas supplier, the price you pay will not be regulated by the MPSC.
How It Works:
We deliver the supplier’s natural gas to you.
You will continue to receive a bill from Consumers Energy to cover the delivery charges. This is reflected on your bill as, “Supplier Charge”.
We’ll continue to maintain and repair gas lines and respond to emergencies.
