Electric Rate Case Application Information
Submission Date: June 2, 2026Bill changes affect every business differently, and you deserve clear, honest information when changes happen. With aging infrastructure and changing weather patterns, work is needed to secure Michigan’s grid – and that work comes at a cost. On Jun. 2, 2026, we asked the Michigan Public Service Commission to approve new electric rates to cover these costs. If approved, businesses would see an estimated monthly increase of $39 (8.6%) starting in May 2027.

On Dec. 16, 2025, we asked the Michigan Public Service Commission to approve new natural gas rates to cover these costs. If approved, businesses would see an estimated monthly increase of $37.29 (9.8%) starting in November 2026.
