Before the wind turbines can begin to generate electricity, several stages of construction must be completed. The construction schedule for each stage includes:

• Access Roads
• Foundations
• Underground Collector System
• Turbine Construction (Towers, Nacelle, Rotor, Blades)

2020 Construction Plans

The anticipated construction schedule for Phase III is as follows:

• Spring/Summer 2020 Construction: Underground work, access driveways and wind turbine foundations
• Summer/Fall 2019 Construction: Wind turbine construction
• Commercial Operation Date: December 2020

Laydown Yard: The laydown yard is the “command center” for of the construction project. It is located on Grant Road just north of Cleveland Road (M-57). Be alert for construction traffic around this area.
