Crews From Multiple States Come Together to Help Restore Power in Michigan
Crews from Iowa, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio joined together to continue assessing damage, repairing power lines and safely removing debris. Overnight, crews were able to bring an additional 25,000 customers back online, bringing the total number of customers restored to 168,000 since Sunday.
Our crews are dedicated to securing the grid, repairing crucial infrastructure and restoring power to customers across northern Michigan,” said Norman Kapala, vice president of grid operations. “We continue to thank our customers for their patience and support as we work toward 100 percent restoration.”
Today, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., we will offer a free community meal at the Roscommon County Building and Courthouse, at 500 Lake Street. Additionally, the we will deliver water in Cadillac, West Branch and Harrisville.
Warming centers are available for customers who are without power. We encourage customers to practice caution while traveling as road conditions remain hazardous.
