DC Fast Charger Rebates

With the Consumers Energy PowerMIDrive™ program, commercial customers can earn a rebate of up to $70,000 for the installation of a DCFC charger on their property.

DC Fast Chargers (DCFC) are the fastest and most powerful electric vehicle charging stations available. They are a fantastic draw for electric vehicle-owning customers and provide a valuable community service.

To qualify for a rebate, you must:


REBATE CRITERIA: DCFC STATION SITE HOST APPLICANTS

  • Applicants must:
    • Install chargers within Consumers Energy’s electric service territory
    • Own, lease, or operate the site within Consumers Energy’s electric service territory
    • Install DCFC to achieve a minimum total power capacity of 150kW per site
    • Achieve installation and operational status within 12 months of rebate commitment date to guarantee rebate award
      • DCFC rebates will be reserved for com-mercial or industrial customers
    • A total of 100 DCFC rebates are available for the program
    • Consumers Energy will prioritize selection of DCFC Site Hosts for rebate based on, but not limited to, the following criteria:
      • Proximity to main highways or thoroughfares to enhance public accessibility
      • Amenities available at the Site to accommodate for 30-minute dwell times during charging
      • Distance from existing DCFC EVSE Sites within Consumers Energy’s electric service territory
    • Rebates are limited to one (1) per site

  • Agree to authorize DCFC station’s network provider to share charger’s electric use data with Consumers Energy
  • Select and install DCFC stations from the PowerMIDrive Program’s Approved List
  • Commit to digital or physical signage to create visibility and guidance for effective utilization of the DCFC
  • Commit to providing a dedicated parking space for each charge port installed
  • Agree to participate in Consumers Energy surveys related to its experience with participation in the PowerMIDrive program
