This is an especially great rate if you have an electric vehicle.
With lower rates at night, when most charge their EVs, we recommend this rate if you have an electric vehicle.

Nighttime Savers is an electric rate that gives you a lower rate when you use electricity overnight, when demand is lower. During on-peak hours, the rate gets higher, with a small peak during the hours between 2 p.m.and 7 p.m. It’s a good option for people who can charge EVs, do laundry, or use dishwashers at night to save money.
The Nighttime Savers rate features Super Off-Peak hours where you can save the most by using electricity at night between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. It’s ideal for those who use more electricity at night, while other rates are better for daytime energy use.
Nighttime Savers offers a lower rate during Super Off-Peak periods between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. If you use most of your electricity during these hours, you’ll see the most savings compared to our other rates.
The Nighttime Savers rate may be a good fit if you’re away from home on weekdays between 2 and 7 p.m., use more electricity at night, or charge an electric vehicle overnight.
To switch to Nighttime Savers Rate, you must be a full-service residential Consumers Energy customer with a smart meter. Call us at (800) 477-5050 to switch.
No, on weekends you can enjoy Super Off-Peak pricing all day long.
Holidays are treated as a normal day. If a holiday falls on a weekday, the weekday rates apply. If it falls on a weekend, weekend rates apply.
For EV owners that tend to charge their EV at night, especially between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., this rate will work well for them.
