Since the storms impacted over 130,000 customers statewide, crews have restored power to over 90,000 customers as of this afternoon. Restoration work remains ongoing across the hardest-hit communities as crews work as quickly and safely as possible.
While restoration remains a priority, We are also actively preparing for another round of storms expected to bring potentially dangerous conditions across Michigan, beginning around 9 p.m. tonight including:
Wind gusts up to 70 – 80+ miles per hour
Hail and localized flooding
The possibility of isolated tornadoes
This system is expected to pose a statewide risk, with the greatest impacts forecast in West Michigan during the evening and overnight hours.
