Planning Ahead:
To help you prepare, we’ve removed September 19 thru September 21 as bill due dates. This gives you flexibility to make payments before or after the event without missing a beat.

Grand Valley State University
Located on GVSU’s Allendale Campus, South of Pierce Avenue near 48th Avenue.
17-acre site contains 11,200 solar panels
Generates up to 3 mega-watts of electricity
Largest community solar project in the state of Michigan
Construction completed in the spring of 2016
Operations began in April 2016
Project #2
Western Michigan University
Located on WMU’s Kalamazoo campus at the Business, Technology and Research Park
Approximately 3,900 solar panels were installed on 8.5 acres of land
Will generate up to 1 mega-watt of electricity
Construction completed in the summer of 2016
Operations began in August 2016
Project #3
Cadillac
Located in the city of Cadillac
Approximately 1,752 solar panels being installed on 2.77 acres of repurposed brownfield land (The first Consumers Energy “Brownfield” to “Brightfield” project)
Will generate up to ½ mega-watt of electricity
Site will incorporate an 885 kWh DC battery storage system
Operations began in June 2021
Seeded with pollinator-friendly habitat

Blackman
Located in Blackman Township, Jackson County
About 4,950 solar panels on 30 acres of land
Generates up to 2.5 megawatts of electricity
Construction is scheduled to start in spring 2025
Operations are slated to start in December 2025
