We're moving aggressively, changing the way we generate electricity so we can make Michigan's tomorrows even better. By the year 2040 our goal is to eliminate the use of coal to generate electricity and reduce carbon emissions by 80%. We're also pushing hard toward another 2040 goal, where 40% of our electric generation will come from renewable sources and energy storage. It's a balanced energy approach to secure a more sustainable future for all of us.
