2022 Think! Energy Take Action Teacher Survey Sweepstakes Official Rules

  • Eligibility:  The Consumers Energy Think! Energy Take Action Teacher Survey Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to teachers who participated in the Think! Energy Take Action Program (the “Entrants”) between January 1, 2022 and April 30, 2022, who complete the Teacher Survey (the “Survey”) and confirm or provide a valid mailing address at the time of entry (the “Entrants”). By taking the Survey, you agree to these Sweepstakes rules (the "Official Rules"). Entrants who are employees, officers, directors and agents of Consumers Energy, its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and program implementation contractors and persons living in their same household are not eligible to participate. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

  • Prizes:  One (1) one-hundred dollar ($100.00) Meijer or Amazon gift card gift card will be awarded at random to one (1) winner. No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prize may occur except by Consumers Energy at its sole discretion due to prize unavailability or causes otherwise determined solely by Consumers Energy, but then for a prize of equal or greater value. All taxes, if any, are the winner's sole responsibility.

  • How to Enter:  The opportunity to enter will begin on approximately May 16, 2022 when email invitations to participate in the Think! Energy Take Action Teacher Survey are sent to all spring 2022 participating teachers and end on June 3, 2022 when the survey closes. Entrants can submit their entry by completing the Think! Energy Take Action Teacher survey as instructed by the administrator in the email invitation. By submitting the Think! Energy Take Action Teacher Survey, you indicate your agreement and compliance with the Official Rules. Your Entry must be in accordance with the specific requirements listed below. Successful Entry according to the above “How to Enter” rules automatically results in Entry into the Sweepstakes.

  • Sweepstakes Restrictions:  Consumers Energy may disqualify any Participant entry that it determines, in its sole discretion, has failed to conform to any of these Official Rules. Only one entry per Participant. Certain prizes will be awarded in the name of the entity participating and not the individual.

  • Winner Determination:  Following the Sweepstakes Period, a random sweepstakes will be held with one (1) winner selected for each prize. If multiple prizes are to be awarded, the selection for each prize will occur in the order that the prizes are listed above.

  • Winner Requirements:  The selected winner will be notified by email on or around June 3, 2022 (within 2 weeks). If a selected winner cannot be contacted, does not comply with these Official Rules, or, if applicable, does not provide an address in which to send the prize or the prize is returned as undeliverable, such selected winner forfeits the prize. Any unawarded prizes will remain unawarded. Prizes that involve services will be fulfilled at a time mutually agreeable to the parties involved.

  • Conditions:  By participating, Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree: (i) to execute a standard unregulated services agreement upon winning a prize that involve services; (ii) Consumers Energy, and its respective subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) and their designees and assigns shall have the right and permission to use (unless prohibited by law) their name, voice, city/state of residence, biographical information, photograph, and/or likeness for advertising and/or trade and/or any other purpose in any media or format, online or offline, now or hereafter known without further compensation, permission, or notification; and (iii) Released Parties & their designees and assigns shall have no liability and will be held harmless for any liability, loss, injury or death to entrant or any other person, including, without limitation, damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prize or participation in this Sweepstakes. Any claims arising out of this Sweepstakes shall be filed in the courts within the state of Michigan. This Sweepstakes is governed by Michigan law. Consumers Energy may cancel, or modify the Sweepstakes if factors impair the proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined solely by Consumers Energy. Consumers Energy is the lone sponsor of this Sweepstakes.
